Central Career Services Support Group
Where faith, hope and resumes come together

The loss of a job can be very traumatic.  Along with the loss of income, there is the potential for many emotional problems that go along with it: loss of self-esteem, anxiety, frustration, fear, and depression.

God’s Word is the foundation of all discussions in this support group, where members will find truths leading to encouragement and hope. This group does not replace the traditional job search steps, but will provide a safe place to navigate emotional struggles and provide reason for hope. Email cheri.clark@centralcommunity.church for more information.

Future

If you’ve been wronged, the Word is clear that you are to trust God to handle the situation. Turn the other cheek, kick the dust off your shoes, and walk away. There’s no telling how many believers have been derailed in their job searches by the desire to seek revenge against their former employers. Can you see the snare of the enemy here? If you pursue revenge you’ll be focused on the past and prevented from obtaining the wonderful promises before you. Let your anger go and put your attention on your future. There is peace and joy there. Trust God to take care of any repayment that is due and move forward in peace. Isn’t that a welcome change from hurt, anger and revenge?

WORDS OF LIFE:

  • I am free of the past and it has no hold on me.
  • By faith I forgive all those who have wronged me and I leave them in God’s hands.
  • My heart and my energy are directed to the future God has planned for me.

Word of the Day

Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. (NLT
